Me and Cekodok are back in Malaysia for Spring/Summer break. I do not have internet access, macam shit. TMnet punya service memang teruk. I, as a consumer, strongly suggests TMnet (especially its sub Streamyx) to improve their service. Ada ke kat Damansara ni tak boleh pasang line telefon sebab line penuh? That means I cannot set Streamyx too.
MOVIE: NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (2010).
Who doesn't remember Freddy Krueger? That stripy pull-over, that hat, those sharp knives attached to his fingers. Nightmare on Elm Street (NEM) has been on cinemas for quite some time. The tale doesn't seem to end.
I am not a die hard fan of horror movies but I give NEM 8.5/10 under horror/fiction category. Because horror movies are not supposed to be mimetically logic, I expect horror movies directors out there to at least make sense out of it.
FYI, Freddy Krueger kills people in their dreams.
It makes sense that Freddy might be some repressed memory of these innocent victims. Like, if you watch the earlier scenes, this dude, can't remember his name, looked like he was suiciding by slaughtering himself, while he had a dream about Freddy. Freddy was trying to kill him in his dream, but in reality that dude was just holding a knife and eventually slaughtered himself. Scary and making sense. Voila. As the story progresses, there comes the scene where Nancy (main actress) who physically pulled Freddy out from her dream to the real world. TINGGGG! Terus macam . . . heh. Whatde? It's like somebody pulled your comfy pillow while you were asleep. Such an off button! The storyline was so good even from the start but it turned out a little off towards the end.
But some people think horror movies are supposed to be like that. Then again, it's just what I think.
Truely sedap,
Kicap.
